Carlo Acutis: A Young Role Model for Today’s Youth

Carlo Acutis (3 May 1991 – 12 October 2006) was an English-born Italian Catholic teenager known for his deep love of the Eucharist and his talent in using digital media to spread the Gospel. Born in London and raised in Milan, he taught himself computer programming and created websites to promote Catholic devotion.

For the Congregation of St. Gemma Galgani Sisters of Dodoma, Carlo is a powerful example for young people today. Like our patron saint, he loved Jesus deeply and lived an ordinary life in an extraordinary way. He shows that holiness is possible even for the youth in the modern digital world.

As the St. Gemma Sisters continue their mission of education, youth ministry, and evangelization, Carlo’s life inspires young people to use their talents for God, grow in devotion to the Eucharist, and courageously live their faith in today’s world.
