The election of Pope Leo XIV marks a new chapter in the life of the Catholic Church — a moment filled with faith, renewal, and hope. On May 13, 2025, the newly elected Holy Father warmly greeted the multitude of faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square, offering his first blessing and words of encouragement to the world.

Joyful pilgrims, clergy, and religious from every continent filled the Square, united in prayer and thanksgiving. The sight of the new Pope appearing before the faithful was a powerful reminder that Christ continues to guide His Church through every age.

For the Sisters of the Congregation of St. Gemma Galgani and the universal Church, this moment is a sign of renewed commitment to evangelization, unity, and service. As Pope Leo XIV begins his Petrine ministry, the Church looks forward with confidence, trusting that under his leadership, faith will be strengthened and hope rekindled in hearts across the world.
